“1tst INTERNATIONAL MAIL ART BIENNALE IN GREECE”
We are a group of artists named “iconoplastes art group”. We have created and took part in a Central Unesco’s Project titled “My City- scenes and Sounds of my City”. We presented our city, Elassona, having Mount Olympus as the start and the end of our project, because we live in the shadow of this sacred mount.

We call you in the “1st International Mail Art Biennale in Greece”.
The selected artwork will be the exposing material for the creation of the “1st Museum of Postal Art” in Greece. We would like this museum to be founded in Elassona, the city where the 1st International mail art exhibition was held under the title: “Psychedelic” (producer: Ioanna Papachristou, coordinator- curator: Thomai Kontou).
Get into the site, se the project and let Olympus with its muses and Elassona, to create inner pictures. Send your works inspired from our city or your own city, your memories and way of living. In that way a lot of cities will co-exist, in this collection, through to the inspiration and soul of the artists.

All works are going to be exhibited. The works will be the supporting material of the Museum. So they are not going to be returned.

TITLE A tribute to Elassona
“The city I loved, enclosed…like fields where I used to live”
Elassona is a town situated on the foot of Mount Olympus, the Greek sacred mountain. It is a town that has been built 4.500 years ago and it is known as the “White Town” of the Homeric era. It is also white deeply in our heart and brain, because it is our own hometown, the place we were born and lived and where as own beloved people lived. We have attempted an artistic approach of our town having in mind the verse of the poet N. A. Aslanoglou about Elassona: “…its houses are spreading conceitedly in the plain” among these houses there are youth memories, secret corners, ruins, abandoned cars, old factories. But there is also the new life portrayed through, traditional feasts in the square, through old and new habits, the cultural buildings, and the litany of the Virgin Mary’s icon, the artist’s atelier and his lonely course. Evenings with friends, music and dreams. “Innocence and faith”. We consist a team of painters, photographers and university students. Our common point a view is our love for Elassona. Somos un grupo de artistas nombrados "grupo del arte de los iconoplastes". Hemos creado y participamos en el proyecto de una UNESCO central titulado "mis escenas de la ciudad y sonidos de mi ciudad". Presentamos nuestra ciudad, Elassona, teniendo el montaje Olympus como el comienzo y el final de nuestro proyecto, porque vivimos en la sombra de este montaje sagrado. El proyecto es: http://unesco.sjsu.edu/ http://unesco.sjsu.edu/gallery/070121/kontou/index.html le llamamos en el "1r arte internacional Biennale del correo en Grecia". Las ilustraciones seleccionadas serán el material que expone para la creación del "1r museo del arte postal" en Grecia. Quisiéramos que este museo fuera fundado en Elassona, la ciudad donde la 1ra exposición de arte internacional del correo fue celebrada bajo título: "psychedelic" (productor: Ioanna Papachristou, guardián del coordinador: Thomai Kontou). Consiga en el sitio, SE el proyecto y deje Olympus con sus muses y Elassona, crear cuadros internos. Envíe sus trabajos inspirados de nuestra ciudad o su propia ciudad, sus memorias y manera de vivir. De esa manera los muchos de ciudades coexistirán, en esta colección, a través a la inspiración y al alma de los artistas. Título: las "ciudades incluidas como los campos donde vivía... ..for Olympus, para Elassona, o la ciudad cada uno tienen en sus medios de la mente y del corazón": pintura, grabado, arte visual, foto, artistamps. Tamaño: postal, A3, A4. Ningún jurado, ningún honorario. Todos los trabajos van a ser exhibidos. Los trabajos serán el material de soporte del museo. No van tan a ser vueltos. * el texto para el proyecto de UNESCO's: TITULE el tributo de A a Elassona "la ciudad que amé, que incluí... como los campos donde vivía" Elassona soy una ciudad situada en el pie del montaje Olympus, la montaña sagrada griega. Es una ciudad que se ha construido hace 4.500 años y se conoce como la "ciudad blanca" de la era homérica. Es también blanco profundamente en nuestro corazón y cerebro, porque es nuestra propia ciudad natal, el lugar que nacimos y que fuimos vividos y donde mientras que poseer a gente querida vivió. Hemos procurado un acercamiento artístico de nuestra ciudad que tenía en mente el verso del poeta N. A. Aslanoglou sobre Elassona: "... sus casas se están separando conceitedly en el llano" entre estas casas allí son memorias de la juventud, esquinas secretas, ruinas, coches abandonados, viejas fábricas. Pero hay también la nueva vida retratada a través, banquetes tradicionales en el cuadrado, con viejos y nuevos hábitos, los edificios culturales, y la letanía del icono de Maria de Virgen, del taller del artista y de su curso solo. Tardes con los amigos, la música y los sueños. "inocencia y fe". Consistimos un equipo de pintores, de fotógrafos y de estudiantes de la universidad.
